Director of Warehouse

Location: Lansdale, PA

*Please note this position would require working in person/onsite at our office in Lansdale, PA. Please do not apply unless you are local to Lansdale, PA and are able to work onsite Monday-Friday.*

The Opportunity:

The Director of Warehouse oversees a major segment of the organization’s multiple-site operations, focused on distribution, logistics, warehousing and fulfillment. This position is responsible for the design and implementation of the policies and procedures needed to execute the Company’s visions of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. With many employees under its purview, this role also provides leadership to the organization by actively promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

What we offer:

Base salary, plus annual bonus along with full benefits that include medical, dental, vision, voluntary life insurance, employer-paid group life insurance, short-term disability, a 401k plan with company match, paid time off, and paid volunteer time off.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse Operations: Lead and manage all aspects of multi-site warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing, order fulfillment, and shipping to delight the customer. Ensure all safety, quality, delivery and cost goals are met.

  • Strategic Direction: Create and implement strategic direction and plans to achieve operational objectives.

  • Team Leadership: Build and nurture a high-performing warehouse team, providing employee development, guidance, coaching, and support to ensure efficient and safe operations.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance warehouse processes and layout to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.

  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control and accuracy, ensuring compliance on stock levels while minimizing inventory errors.

  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all warehouse activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards. Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety training.

  • Cost Management: Monitor and control warehouse budgets (labor, supplies, equipment), identifying opportunities for cost savings and resource optimization.

  • Freight Management: Execute company’s freight optimization strategy (carrier / mode selections) to maximize cost goals.

  • Reporting: Generate reports and provide regular updates to senior management on warehouse performance metrics.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field strongly preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in warehouse operations management

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and management skills

  • Experience with six sigma practices; certification preferred

  • Experience with OSHA compliance issues; certification preferred

  • Strong time management and delegation skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks in fast paced environment

  • Comfortable with moderate travel by car and air. This includes local travel to operations vendors as well as travel as needed to our warehouses and partner locations throughout the country. Total travel up to 15%.
